Farms: Bee Class at East New York Farms

Beekeeper Norman Cote demonstrates lighting the smoker, smoking the hive and inspecting a frame in the gardens of East New York Farms in Brooklyn. Norman and his son, Andrew Cote, lead Beekeeping Classes with the New York City Beekeeping Association and Bees Without Borders. This particular hive had fewer than the standard number of frames, so there was a lot of wild comb inside.
