Firefighters from surrounding towns battled a blaze that ripped through a barn Friday at Donaldson Farms on Allen Rd in Mansfield Township. The fire was reported at 5:00 p.m. at a barn behind Donaldson Farms stand near the corn maze. The barn had solar panels on the roof and inside was believed to have been fertilizer, propane tanks and hay. The Warren County Hazmat responded to take air samples in the Diamond Hill development, according to radio reports. No injuries had been reported as of 6:30 p.m., said Mansfield Township Mayor Shirley Kocher. As of 11:00 p.m., Allen Road is still closed in the area of Donaldson Farms. There has been no word on a cause for the fire. Some other fire departments that assisted Mansfield Twp Fire Departments were, Mansfield Twp Rescue Squad, Hackettstown, Independence Twp, Budd Lake, NJ Forrest Fire Service and Washington Twp (Morris County).
