Everyday Pulse Presents, Attraction Island, Episode 2. Never Ending Loop. Welcome to Long Island, NY, a beautiful little protrusion of land ripe with traquility, beaches, farms, vinyards, suburbs etc. This series is all about the must know places that people just don't know about. For locals and tourists, many of these locations will be familiar while others come as a surprise. Either way, we hope they make it onto your must see list. Directed By Anthony Trupia. Hosted by David Hofmann w/ Lauren Hofmann. RIVERHEAD RACEWAY Riverhead Raceway is a quarter-mile oval race track with a Figure 8 course, located in Riverhead, New York. It is the only auto racing venue on Long Island since Westhampton Raceway closed down in 2003. It started being built in 1949 and opened as a dirt track in 1951, before permanently changing to asphalt in 1955. Riverhead Raceway has seven racing divisions: Modified, Figure Eight, Late Model, Charger, Blunderbust, Super Pro Truck, and Legends. It hosts races for the Whelen All-American Series and the Whelen Modified Tour. Other events include demolition derby, school bus racing, monster trucks, enduro, car rollover, train race (however not run in several years), one-on-one spectator drag (yet taken off after 2009), and go-karts. Notable drivers who used to race at Riverhead Raceway include Greg Sacks, Steve Park, Charlie Jarzombek, Brett Bodine, Tom Baldwin, and Donny Lia. Bill Park, Steve Park's uncle, currently races at Riverhead Raceway. And 2013 NASCAR Whelen Modified Tour champion, Ryan Preece.
