It’s Monday, April 25, 2016. Here is some of what Sun staffers and other news providers are working on for lowellsun.com and Tuesday’s print edition. • A busy night on the municipal government front, with meetings in Billerica, Chelmsford, Dracut and Littleton. In Billerica, selectmen will learn the results of the investigation of the pedestrian safety crash in the town center, which became an election issue. Reporter Rick Sobey is covering that meeting. In Littleton, selectmen will convene a public hearing regarding the proposed host community agreement on Couper Farm. That meeting is being covered by Reporter Melissa Hanson, mhanson@lowellsun.com. Also, Reporter Todd Feathers, tfeathers@lowellsun.com, is at the Dracut School Committee and Reporter Alana Melanson, amelanson@lowellsun.com, is at Chelmsford Town Meeting. • It’s also busy in the Nashoba Valley, as voters are heading to the polls in Ayer, Pepperell and Townsend. Ayer has several contested races, being covered by Reporter Ann O’Connor, aoconnor@nashobavalleyvoice.com. Elections in Pepperell and Townsend are mostly uncontested. • Nashoba Valley Voice Reporter Chris Lisinski, clisinski@nashobavalleyvoice.com, is covering Groton Town Meeting. • And Reporter Lisa Redmond, lredmond@lowellsun.com, is in North Middlesex District Court in Ayer, covering the arraignment of a Mass. state trooper who is facing domestic assault and battery charges stemming from an incident in Boxboro on Saturday night.
