Animal care is central to the success of both Smithfield Foods and our hog production subsidiary Murphy-Brown. Without healthy pigs, we can't produce high quality and affordable pork products. This video explains many of our animal care best practices, and gives a behind-the-scenes look at proper animal care in modern American pork production. _______________________________________ If you'd like to give feedback about our videos or have other comments you'd like to share with us, please feel free to contact us via our corporate website, our Facebook page, or our Twitter account, found at the links below. http://smithfieldfoods.com http://www.facebook.com/SmithfieldFoods http://twitter.com/SmithfieldFoods

This is very interesting video
-
When something sounds too good to be true….. is because its NOT true!!!!!!!!!!!!

Lies. Pigs are not happy in crates or 'group housing'. No animal is. Pigs need to be outside, rooting in the dirt, with their tails still attached I might add, and living out their natural lifespans. So basically, a sanctuary. This is such a stupid argument. Smithfield tortures animals, cutting off their body parts without anesthesia, and subjecting them to extreme confinement.

That calm, soothing voice-over is hilarious. She's talking about slaughter, but she's still unbelievably calm.
-
Its real easy to paint a pretty picture with an intentionally filmed video. It is the undercover videos that show the truth of factory farming.
-
A right video, finally!.
-
Or - how about we simply stop eating the flesh of animals? I think that would solve many of these problems.
-
This is propaganda
-
I notice this video didn't say anything about the fact that each of those piglets used to make the video look cute are going to be killed, their blood drained, and their flesh chopped in order to make a small fraction the amount of food that is used to keep them fed until they are slaughtered...
