As Jamie Oliver prepares to denounce substandard European pig farms as part of Channel 4s The Great British Food Fight and, instead, urge consumers to buy British, Animal Aid today publishes its shocking findings from an investigation into some of the leading pig farm operators in the country. The campaigning organisation visited seven farms owned or run by five directors of the industry levy board, the British Pig Executive (BPEX). All were appointed to BPEX by Defra. The seven farms were secretly filmed between April 2008 and January of this year. Among the scenes filmed by Animal Aid were pregnant and nursing sows incarcerated in farrowing crates; dead, sick and dying piglets littering the pens; animals wading through filth or living in utterly barren environments; a lack of bedding; and a lack of environmental enrichment, despite the law stating that this must be provided.

Amazing what humans can do to another animal, each other, and the environment. Vegan for life.

I have to ask if you have made this comment based on your religion and that it may be forbidden for you to consume omnivores? Swine may be unclean because of the conditions they are forced to live in but as animals they have as much intelligence as dogs. Forget "stay away from pork" How about STAY AWAY FROM MEAT!!? No animal deserves to suffer in life or method of death for the greed of man, regardless of religion.
You should be a shamed of yourselves. Is this what a liberal organisation is about?. You are more like capitalists thugs than anything else. You will never know what it is like to live on the bottom line and work hard for your money everyday. You are most likely uni drop outs who where born with silver spoons on your mouths.
Your vision of a meat free world is a delusion. Half the worlds populations would starve to death without meat. Would you be happy causing mass genocide?
If you freed all the farm animals of the world into the wild they wouldn't last long. They would die of starvation, exposure and be eaten by predator's (better tell the wolves and bears not to eat meat lol). By doing good you only be doing bad and would cause the suffering and deaths of all them animal's.
Would you be willing to do these things for your world order of vegans?
