The Ananda Harvest project seeks to build a modern, 21st century farm that reconnects our generation back to the land. We hope to teach people how to farm, strengthen the local food movement, and give back to the Ananda community. Since July, 2009, with the help of over 50 volunteers and one full-time farmer, we have built 3 working gardens, raised over $15K and have gathered a community of over 300 active supporters. We have only just begun. Over the next year our goal is to be a fully working farm, equipped with mobile greenhouses, raised bed farming, and a farm stand; an educational center that has a diverse range of workshops such as Permaculture, Bee Keeping, and Eco-Cabin Building. More than a farm, we hope that Ananda Harvest becomes a place for the creative community to get away, explore new ideas and plant seeds for a better future.
