In type 2 diabetes, your body does not use insulin properly. This is called insulin resistance. At first, the beta-cells make extra insulin to make up for it. But, over time your pancreas isn’t able to keep up and can’t make enough insulin to keep your blood glucose levels normal. Type 2 diabetes can be treated with oral medications, and/or insulin. It was a great social event for every T1D child and during the congress kids shared their life experiences being diagnosed with each other. All the participants of the congress sang the song in the chorus. A great number of volunteers joined the congress and helped the participants.
