Bill Walton and the crew over at the Auburn University Shellfish Laboratory introduce us to Alabama oyster farmers. In the video are Steve Crockett from Point aux Pins in Bayou la Batre, and Troy and Rebecca Cornelius from Portersville Bay Oyster Co. in Portersville Bay. Join us November 15, 2014 at Fisher's in Orange Beach for "Meet the Makers", an oyster and beer tasting pairing Back Forty beer with fresh Alabama oysters from Point aux Pins, Portersville Bay Oyster Co.; New Reef Oyster Co., Mobile; Sandy Bay Oyster Co., Bayou La Batre; and Southern Pearl Oyster Co., Bayou La Batre. The tasting event kicks off at 5 p.m. and will last until 8 p.m. Tickets are $15 in advance and $20 the day of the event.
