T1D strikes both children and adults at any age and suddenly. Its onset has nothing to do with diet or lifestyle. Though T1D’s causes are not yet entirely understood, scientists believe that both genetic factors and environmental triggers play a role. There is currently nothing you can do to prevent it, and there is no cure. Type 1 diabetes strikes both children and adults at any age. It comes on suddenly, causes dependence on injected or pumped insulin for life, and carries the constant threat of devastating complications. Diabetes can affect how you feel each day. George Hincapie, a famous cyclist, every year organizes Hincapie Gran Fondo in JDRF’s name. Hincapie Gran Fondo is a nice way to escape from daily problems and to forget about diseases. During the ride some great professionals and Huncapie’s friends join the ride. All JDRF Riders are invited to exclusive Gran Fondo after party. Everybody talk about their experience they had during the ride. Gran Fondo is all about challenging yourselves. It’s not a race – everyone has his different goals. There is no pressure to perform – the only pressure your put on yourself. The after party is a great way to celebrate what they have achieved during the day.
