This video is part of a playlist featuring videos uploaded across multiple channels and shot during a day-long adventure hiking and exploring along a near-deserted farm road in the high mountains of central Japan. The link below will take you to the official playlist titled "Japan Abandoned Farm Hike". The playlist is featured on the YouTube Bullet Train channel. http://www.youtube.com/playlist?list=PL08DCF8DB42CBCA78&feature=view_all ---- My name is Kurt Bell and I am delighted that you have taken some time to share a little of the experience of life with me. I'm available on social media at the links below and can be reached via email at dinnerbytheriver@gmail.com Follow me on Twitter: https://twitter.com/softypapa Find me on Facebook: http://www.facebook.com/LylesBrother On Google+ https://plus.google.com/u/0/109050782163582511388/posts Instagram: http://instagram.com/softypapa LinkedIn: http://www.linkedin.com/pub/kurt-bell/b/416/754 My blog: http://softypapa.wordpress.com ---- THE PATH OF WILDNESS The Path of Wildness is easy to find The course of a stream Leaves blown in the wind A beast's track through the brush And the direction of our first inclination The Path of Wildness is an answer and response to a prescribed way of life which may leave some individuals with a sense that their living is little more than a series of pre-determined, step-like episodes between birth and death. The stages of living between these events: childhood, adolescence, adulthood, parenthood and senior are themselves natural and in accord with the needs of the species and most individuals. Many find their satisfaction in living this course and to these individuals I have little or nothing to say. Others though long for something more; something innate, genetic and seemingly calling. Adventure and change can give a degree of satisfaction and relief yet even these may seem too tame. To those who feel drawn to something beyond the entertainment and stimulation of senses I offer a walk along The Path of Wildness. Don't bother penciling the event in your schedule, preparing a pack with goodies and supplies or even inviting a friend along, for this experience is along the course of your first inclination and you must surely always go alone. You could always do research on the land. Find out who owned it and what it was used for. Oh and men Yell not scream (unless they're a little-well you know) This was really interesting and I'd love to own that land It would be perfect for me Thanks for sharing your adventure Great Vid!

There is something so calming about this, everything from the tone of your voice to the sounds of the environment you're in. Reminds me of ASMR videos.

Interesting thoughts and walk around but still no real answer what the land was used for maybe just vegetables and comfortable living .Thank you for sharing

I like your videos. You seem like a cool teacher. My girlfriend speaks Japanese and she might end up moving there because of a job application. She's an artist. I explore here, where I'm from. And if we end up moving there I'll hike and explore there too. She's actually from England, and it's fairly obvious where I'm from lol

thank for the videos and beautiful scenery of forest

I plan on making a trip, I guess wearing pants, hiking boots and long sleeve is better protection in a forest
-
The trees you thought were mulberries are actually Sawtooth Oak (Quercus acutissima). The tree you saw sprouting up in the old piece of equipment by the first building you looked at was a Mulberry.
-
安全第一 the kanji written on a wooden pole(means safety first)

I am nervous watching him, hoping no snake and bears around.

This looks like an old Dojo...the rock in front of the building he called a community center, they depict that in front of a lot of dojos in manga.

This scene aches for a sequel to 1961's "Kwaidan".
