Look at the great things that can happen when you don't run to the government for permission.

It's good to see the creation of green space. It is concerning to me, though, that they are growing fruits right next to a railroad track. No mention of soil testing. Toxins and metals can move right into the food and you end up consuming it. I think a better plan would be to get a 4 foot fence in next to the tracks, then build raised beds 2 feet deep and bring in soil then compost from there. Okay, I see around 7:40 he mentions they did testing. If soil is not fit for children to play in, I would not eat food from it. He said people were "okay with the levels in the soil." Hmmmm.

There has been a plot of land near me that has remained vacant for YEARS since I was a kid and I'm a full adult now and every spring I keep thinking "Community garden".

You guys are doing great work, Gill. In the beginning of the video when you were talking about all the toxic waste on the property, I was thinking that you should really be getting into bio-remediation using fungi. Imagine my pleasure when you started talking about how you're doing that later in the video. :) Good to see that you guys are already very knowledgeable about this subject. Best of luck to you all. :)

Wow if I was the property owner of the spot he is squatting on and I heard his actual opinion of me, I would kick him off and keep his trees!
