Dear Monica I can tell you have made up your mind by reading your comments I will not try to change it I will not waste my valuable time on someone like yourself. I will leave you with this one last comment however our good Lord put these animals be it pork beef chicken or fish for us humans to butcher and eat for the nourishment of our bodys. Got a couple of nice rib eye steaks on the grill right now better go and check on them.CHEERS!

Nice video, keep up the good work

Girl, this is not an upgrade in pig housing! Go and check FREERANGE.
The US should start promoting small skale farmers again. More people would have jobs and when every Farmer keeps only a few pigs in more space things would be far better for everyone. People have jobs and better quality food, pigs have a far better life and soil and groundwater don't get polluted by huge amounts of dung -
if this was an Asian woman telling the western world how she is different to other farmers because she takes care of her dogs for the yulin festival, people would be utterly outraged.

Dear Erin Ehinger, you'll probably never see this comment but if you do, I'd like to tell you just how sad it is to find someone as young as yourself working in such an industry. I understand it's a family business but that actually puts you in a privileged position to end a ghastly, bloody cycle instead of prolonging it. You can make a difference. You say you care for those animals, but how would you like to live in those conditions your entire short and miserable life; without ever seeing the sun light or stepping on grass, to have your body mutilated and be repeatedly raped so you could breed, just to have your children enslaved, abused and exploited in the same way, and then finally, be taken to a slaughterhouse to have your throat slit and your head chopped off? Don't you see; you should be wearing a face covering mask when representing such an industry. Please stop.

I thank you for giving these animals a more humane life where they can practice normal behaviors compared to farrowing pens. I believe the aggressive behaviors that you have seen while in pens will improve with future generations. In Europe they have managed pigs for
generations in pens. Compare that to the US where pork production has not even concidered selection for decreased aggression as every animal lived in isolation its whole life without asses to interact with others. selective breeding and environmental enrichment is the key. Dont know if its possible but considering a type of bedding that could encourage rooting. -
Go vegan 👍🏾

Are you joking??? They don't have room to move at all! And they don't have access to the outdoors either.

she is hot

This doesn't seem very humane to me. If I understand this correctly, you are impregnating these animals for the personal pleasure of other people. You are forcing them to live indoors in crowded conditions. Then you kill them.
-
First time I encountered "group housing the sows". We use a different method here in our country. Well, I've learned something new today. Thanks for the video. (^_^)

this is definitely not true..

That pig woman is hot :)

Actually I'm a university man, O barely graduate of high school boy, The problem is factory farming vs real family farming. 15,500 sow is an environmental disaster. You can't fathom that notion. My guess is, whatever is said that points in the direction of the evils of factory farming, your anosognosia will prevent you from understanding factual information. From the looks of your profile picture, you look like a pig. Shouldn't you take their side in animal welfare? Temp? rooting? ur clueless.
-
O college boy. Yep pork management, that will sure tell you JUST what it is like on the farm. Other then that, do you have any clue why pigs arn't kept outside like cattle etc? Most people talk about how bad it is in a hog barn. Lets keep them outside, temp changes pigs are very temp sensitive. Rooting, a hog can destory grassland so they have to be rung. Yea living inside is so much worse then dealing with the heat, the cold, and havining 6 metal rings in your face.

Knud, I am a hog farmer and we only use antibiotics for a specific reason. We have a vet that oversees every drug we administer. There are different types of MRSA and MRSA in hogs and humans are not the same. And the research that has been done shows that there is NO increase in MRSA infection with those people who work with hogs. I am concerned about resistant bacteria also but am assured there is very little/no risk with hogs.
-
how much antibiotics used? How many resistant bacteria like MRSA found in employees and pigs?

The girl is such a cutie!!
