Farms: 2016 Projects for Pine Meadows Hobby Farm - A Modern Small Homestead
Productivity | Information | History | View | Quality
Join my wife and myself on our adventure of building our little homestead farm in the Cascade Mountains of the Pacific Northwest. Watch as we establish a garden, orchard, build our home, install solar panels and windmill, apiary, raise rabbits, ducks, chickens, geese and goats. Learn with us as we explore pasture management and forest management, and join me as I build a tree house in the timber upon my mountain. In this video I discuss the projects I will be launching for 2016 Jeremy Hanson introduces the video and Jerry goes into detail of the activities of the home, garden, livestock, and off-grid projects slated. We was thinking about country life but we are over 65 with income lit over $20,000 per year. We are trying to think of a sm. income that can help kept us stable living on 5 acres.

Looking forward to the recycling videos. You are creating a wonderful farm.

I love the idea of beams on the library ceiling, I can't wait to see how it turns out.

I heard if you want fruit on your apple tree, you need at least two apple trees to cross pollinate.

I am so happy to have recently found and immediately subscribed & shared your channel. I am catching up on all of your previous videos.
I have been researching for over a year so we have some basic goals when our Mom & Daughter hobby farm begins in Spring here in Florida.
Thanks for sharing the technical steps and creativity of repurposing . -
A note on the dishwasher...Use a liquid detergent not powder, as septics don't like powdered dishwasher (and powdered Laundry) detergents. We live on septic for last 20+ yrs.

Wow lots of plans for 2016! You will be very busy! Looking forward to watching!

Take care of that voice. -
Hello, Jeremy. Nice to meet you.
-
Awesome that you want to include projects/items that involve
the grand kids.
Subbed!
Why did you guys go with a manufactured home rather than traditional construction?
Strictly price?
I only ask because we are considering manufactured on our rural property.
Fairly certain we can get 20+ years out of it before major issues. The cost is considerably less than traditional construction.
Plan is to build our retirement home in about 20-25years from now (we currently 40 yrs old).
Thanks
