Since its formation in 1956, the Washington State Potato Commission (WSPC) has enjoyed a rewarding partnership with Washington State University scientists and extension specialists to develop innovative technologies and farming practices. This collaboration has provided potato growers with environmentally-sound crop production, pest management, irrigation and harvesting techniques, and equipment management and design elements that have helped to advance the state's third largest agricultural crop, which generates $4.6 billion in revenue and more than 23,500 jobs throughout the state.
