The South Beach Whole Foods used to be Wild Oats which was even worse... if you can imagine that!

Hi you two! It's Aimee here in DC! I am so curious about how you both cope with the change of climate and culture moving to south Florida. I spent my adolescence plotting my escape from north Florida, my only reasonable response to growing up in such a chokingly conservative area. As an adult raising three kids I miss the sun and fun of the coast, not to mention my family. I am watching your posts with great interest because I am open to the possibility that you uncover a patch of enlightenment down there, at least perhaps where food is concerned. Moving to Florida from California and Hawaii could be a shock to the system so take care and go easy! All my best, Aimee

Try the new Whole Foods market in downtown/brickell area. The Saturday Glacier Farms Farmers Market in Coconut Grove is great! Has Raw food take out.

You guys should get in touch with Orlon and Nikocado . They have a YouTube channel and they are always on the most incredible farms in Florida . Hope they are near you :-)

the whole foods in south beach sucks but the ones in downtown and coral gables are great!
-
You may want to give Costco a look. They have a nice variety of fruit, both conventional and organic. The watermelons there are massive and only cost $3.99 now.
