Here is an old 16mm home movie with footage from the 1920's taken on an old farm near or on "Clark's Lake" which I think is in Michigan.

I get a kick out of how old home moving picture technology makes it look like that 10-20 is doing about 10 mph and the reel on the binder looks more like a fan.

love it, I am so glad to find videos like this to encourage and inspire guys like me to keep using the old style equipment for hobby farming and I live about 20 minutes from Clark lake it dont look much like that theses days but still a beautiful place
thank you -
love those Mccormick's the best ever made, from the 10-20 to the 15-30, good video thanks

The first paid job I remember was helping the neighbors with oat bundles. At the end of the day the farmer went into his room and gave me a bright silver dollar. It was 1961 I think and very few people still used the binder.

Love watching this stuff, but man I wish my family would of bought some home video camera back then, my family farm was settled in Michigan in the 1800s when the land was first being given out in Michigan to vets returning from the Civil War. I actually have old photos from the 1930s of wheat being harvested this way.

What's this music? I love it.

Thank you for this footage. It gives me a good feeling to see the old timers out working the land. We have lost all this in modern times. Its a true shame.

You are very welcome!

I looked it up on a map and there is a Clark Lake near Brooklyn Michigan, near where Michigan International Speedway is now in Southern Michigan. Thanks for the video!
